The second short fiction of Interludes: Steel and Heart. It covers the introduction of Motoko Aoyama and Seno Nakakami to Setsuna Sakurazaki.
Chapter Synopsis[]
This tale opens with the seven-year-old Motoko and Seno hiding from Tsuruko Aoyama. Tsuruko is accompanied by a three-year-old child, Setsuna Sakurazaki, whom is rather shy. When Tsuruko wrestles Motoko and Seno out of the bush they're hiding in rather easily, she introduces the three children to each other, informing Seno and Motoko to be friends with Setsuna, as she has been picked on quite often.
The two older children attempt to be friendly with Setsuna, whom is shy and challenges that they will in fact dislike her and be mean to her like the other children. Seno and Motoko insist they will not and question why she might think that. Setsuna shows them, revealing shocking white wings that match her white hair and red eyes, marking her as an albino crow hanyou.
Much to Setsuna's shock, the other two children are amazed by the wings and comment on how cool they are. The story ends with Setsuna tearfully glad to have found friends who accept her for who she is.
