Professor Akashi (明石, Akashi-sensei) is a character from Negima!: Magister Negi Magi by Ken Akamatsu. He is Yuuna Akashi's father; he is constantly doing research on various magical phenomenon, particularly those encountered by Negi Springfield.

Both he and his late wife know of the magical world, though their daughter doesn't know of magic or that her teacher is a magician.

Biography

Early Life

Almost nothing of Professor Akashi's life before his faculty position at Mahora Academy is known. It is known his wife passed away and he then removed the knowledge of the magic world from Yuuna's mind to protect the girl, as he had interpreted Yuuko Akashi's final wish to protect their daughter as such.

At some point, Akashi took a position at Mahora Academy as a mage teacher.
