Takamichi T. Takahata (高畑・T・タカミチ, Takahata T. Takamichi), commonly known as Takahata-sensei,  is a character from Negima!: Magister Negi Magi by Ken Akamatsu and is one of Nagi Springfield's former companions and a member of Ala Rubra.

Heis the teacher Negi Springfield replaces at Mahora Middle School. This is not to say that he is not in the school, however, he has appeared several times throughout, though he has become the new art teacher for the time being.

Early LifeEdit

Almost nothing of Takamichi's life before the war in the magical world or when he found his way to Mahora Academy is know, save for the fact that he dropped out of magic school.

Great Mage WarEdit

Main article: Great Mage War

It should be noted that Takahata is close friends with Nagi Springfield, and fought in the Great Mage War when he was younger, alongside Eishun Konoe and the Thousand Master as a member of Ala Rubra. Like Nagi, Takahata is a magic school dropout, but in his case not for lack of studying but for an inability to perform incantations. He studied with Gateau Vandenburg in the technique of Kankahō. Due to his membership in Nagi's group, Takahata is extremely famous and respected among the Magic community.

Mahora AcademyEdit

At some time after the Mage War, Takamichi traveled to Mahora Academy with Asuna Kagurazaka, both to ward her with the school and take up a teaching position there.

Powers and AbilitiesEdit

  • Kankahō: While Takamichi's ability has never been stated in true facts, he trained with Gateau in a form of magical combat called "Magic Ki Fusion", or "Kanka", that combines both Eastern ki and Western magic since Takamichi is unable to use spell incantations. While Asuna Kagurazaka was traveling with the group as a child, she also learned some of these techniques.
